CSH-2 Rooivalk

The CSH-2 Rooivalk is a combat helicopter developed in South-Africa for the South-African Air Force by corporation between Denel Aviation and Eurocopter. When the 12 rooivalk helicopters came off the production line, they went immediately to the SAAF but couldn't be used for operational purposes. They went back to Denel Aviation for final development. The end of this is scheduled for 2008.
 

The Rooivalk is armored with air-to-air missiles, anti-tank missiles and a rapid-fire 20mm automatic cannon. It has a crew of 2 and is heavier in weight than it's partner, the Eurocopter attack helicopter Tiger.
