H-92 Super Hawk

The H-92 is new, advanced transport helicopter, developed b the American company Sikorsky on basis of the commercial S-92 version. The H-92 was developed with the knowledge and experience from the UH-60 Black Hawk and SH-60 Sea Hawk. The H-92 has a utility version and a naval version (in development).

Technical
The H-92 Super hawk is a conventional type of helicopter configuration with 1 main rotor and 1 tail rotor.

Cabin
The H-92 has a cabin width of 1.82 meters and is able to transport 22 fully-equipped troops or an external load of 4536 kg beneath the heli.

 


Engine
The H-92 is equipped with 2 CT7-8C turboshaft engines, each with a thrust of 3000 hp (25% more than the commercial S-92 version).

Rotor
The main rotor has 4 blades, just like the tail rotor which is mounted on the right side of the tail.

Landing gear
The H-92 has 1 nose gear with 2 wheels and 2 main gears each with 2 wheels. The whole landing gears is retractable for better aerodynamics. The 2 main gears are carried inside 2 wheel wells on both sides of the fuselage.

Canada
The Canadian Ministry of Defence has an order worth of 4.92 billion dollars for the delivery of 28 H-92 helicopters, designated by Canada as CH-148 Cyclone.
