S.O. 4050 Vautour (France)

The S.O. 4050 Vautour is a combat aircraft developed by the French company Sud-Ouest. It made its first flight in 1952. It was originally developed as a bomber but was later designed as a combat aircraft.
The Vautour has conventional fuselage, 2 swept wings, 2 turbojet engines beneath the wings, a single tail with stabilo. The landing gear is a Bi-cycle type with 2 smaller wheels mounted beneath the engines.
The French Air Force took delivery of 70 aircraft, the Israeli Air Force 25. The Israeli aircraft were intensively used during the 6-day war and during later missions.
